GETA: Presentation of Interview Results for Regional Energy and Climate Advisors

Today, the Swedish GETA-students were once again able to present the findings from the 104 interviews carried out last year. The “audience” this time were the regional Energy and Climate Advisors in the region of Värmland, Sweden.

In the interviews carried out last year they were asking the citizens of Karlstad about their “energy situation” with focus on: Cost of energy, their capability of paying electricity bills to how energy efficient they consider their house to be.

The “audience” for the students presentation this time were the regional Energy and Climate Advisors in the region of Värmland, Sweden. Almost every Municipality in Sweden (289 out of 290 municipalities) have their own Energy and Climate advisor whose mission is to assist with unbiased advice regarding; solar cells, heating, energy efficiency and charging infrastructure. They support private individuals, associations and small and medium-sized companies that want to make a positive change and save money and the climate. All of them are financed via the Swedish Energy Authority (with tax money).

The students received very positive feedback and got several questions. One of them being a question whether they would like to present their findings for the Energy and Climate advisors on a national level, if this would be possible to arrange. The students were of course very positive to do so.

Project GETA is supported by the EU Erasmus+ Programme (ERASMUS) and implemented by LIFE Foundation and following partners: UNIVPM (Italy), ETMI (Albania), REIC (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and Municipality of Kavaje (Albania). Read more about the project here and visit the Project website here.
