LIFE Academy has trained over 1500 Change Agents from more than 80 countries across the world. 

 

We have carried out International Training Programs in these subject areas, all commisioned by Sida:

 

ICT and Pedagogical Development (2012 - 2017)

The objective of the program is to contribute to capacity building and the start up of change processes in the participants' organisations in order to integrate ICT in educational policies and strategies at all levels of the educational system. The program will be implemented in cooperation with Stockholm University, Department of Computer and Systems Sciences.

 

Efficient Energy Use and Planning (2011 - 2016)

The objective of the program is to contribute to capacity building and change processes in the participants´ organizations in order to achieve sustainable and strategic energy efficiency in the participating countries. The program was implemented in cooperation with the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and the Regional Energy Agency of Värmland, a regional agency for energy efficiency and planning.

 

Wind Power Development and Use (2009 - 2015)

The overall objective of the program is to contribute to capacity building and increased understanding of the importance of wind power and other renewable energy sources among strategic organisations in the participants´ home countries. The program was implemented in cooperation with the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Favonius, a regional public wind power company.

 

Information Technology Management (1999 - 2007)

The main objective of the program is to introduce the participants to information technology and its effects on society, and to present examples of successful and non-successful projects and applications of information technology. The program intends to empower the participants to take part in the strategic development of their organisation in order to make them better positioned and prepared to participate in the global network society.

 

Local Environmental Management (1995 - 2006)

The main objective of the program is to introduce the participants to local environmental management based on ecological principles and to present examples of sustainable and non-sustainable local environmental projects. The program will facilitate for the participants to get started with local Agenda 21- projects.
